Justin Fields Unfollows Bears Official Instagram

There’s a lot of talk today about Justin Fields’ Instagram, and for good reason. He no longer follows the Bears official account on Instagram. This comes after an offseason already full of reports of him being traded and the Bears drafting Caleb Williams number 1 overall. I had held out hope for a long time that maybe sources were just making up Fields being traded. I hoped the Bears would keep Fields in Chicago. However, this appears to be the final dagger. And it hurt more than I was expecting! I’ve been open about my opinion on Fields. He has been the most fun quarterback to watch and has had the most raw talent out of anyone I have seen in my lifetime. I wanted him to be successful in Chicago so badly, but that dream appears to be just a dream. It might be time to start the grieving process on Fields and start the excitement process on Caleb Williams.

There was a different report that came out yesterday suggesting Fields would get input into where he wanted to be traded. Of course, that all depends on if a deal can be achieved with his desired team at Poles’ price. There has been a lot of talk about Fields potentially being traded to his hometown team, the Atlanta Falcons. I bring this up because after Fields unfollowed the Chicago Bears Instagram account, he proceeded to then follow Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts on Instagram. If we used Fields’ Instagram followings as a basis for what will happen with him in the future, then it sounds like Fields will not be on the Bears next year and might be on the Falcons.

All-in-all, it looks like Fields will be gone. I will be sad for a little bit, but plan on getting excited about Caleb Williams. We don’t know the Bears will take Williams, but with Fields’ Instagram activity last night, the Bears’ odds of drafting Caleb Williams number 1 overall went up to (-1000) last night from (-800). It sounds like the many reports of the Bears trading Fields and drafting Caleb Williams will come true.
